The first screen is the answer
Open the view and you see what needs attention, where work is now and whether you are getting faster. The full time-in-status table, the flow charts and the audit trail sit underneath.
Needs attention
Items over SLA, stuck longer than usual, older than usual or sent back to an earlier status, worst first. Triage them in a drawer: filter by reason, read each item's timeline, and acknowledge it for the whole board until its status changes.
Where work is now, and is it getting faster?
A live bar of where every item sits, with the status that is piling up called out. Click a status to filter the table, and read whether this period finished faster or slower than the one before it.
Find the bottleneck
Time per status names the slowest step and scales every bar to it. Cycle time plots each finished item with 50, 85 and 95% lines, as a scatter or a histogram.
Aging and a finish date
Aging shows every item in progress against the pace of finished work, oldest first. Throughput counts finishes per day or week and answers "When will N items be done?" with 50, 85 and 95% dates.
Cumulative flow, rework and people
Cumulative flow shows how work moved between statuses across the range. Rework lists the items that went back to a status they had left, and People shows in-progress, finished and oldest item per assignee.
Click to audit
Every duration opens the visits behind it, with dates, the item's full status path and a link to open it in monday. When history is cut off, the figure is marked ≥: a lower bound.
Subitems rolled up
Each parent shows its subitems beneath it with a summed row per status. Show them grouped, flat, or hide them.
Business hours
Set your working days, hours, holidays and time zone. One toggle adds working-time figures next to every status duration and checks your SLAs in working time.
SLA thresholds
Set a limit per status in hours or days, or let StatusTrail suggest the time 85% of past visits stayed under. Breaches show on the first screen, in red in the table, and as a flag in the CSV.
Export CSV
"This view" exports the status columns, sort and filter on screen; "Everything" exports every status column and the full synced history. Each export gives raw seconds you can sum, readable durations and a per-transition audit trail.
Zero setup
StatusTrail needs no timers or extra fields. It reads the board's own activity log, picks your busiest status column and opens on where your items wait longest. Reports reopen instantly from cache, and a setup you like can be saved as a view for the whole board.
